HOW COACHING WORKS:Coaching is a process in self-discovery and self-improvement. More than just identifying a problem—for example, you are not being firm enough with employees, or assertive with your spouse and children— Gwen as your coach will help you identify the underlying assumptions and beliefs that cause you to act or react in that specific way. We work together to face to different challenges at home, work or play.
During private sessions, Gwen may also ask you to answer some questions designed to increase your self-awareness and lead you toward new insights about your own behavior. Once you understand your own approach to pressures and relationships, Gwen will help you find new ways to look at these old problems to gain new perspectives and to strengthen the areas where you feel you are weak. People tend to open up easily to Gwen because of her disarming nature and her willingness to share her personal stories as a teaching tool. The coaching relationship involves a significant amount of trust and respect. The person being coached must feel comfortable enough to talk about all aspects of their life: obstacles and achievements, strengths and weaknesses, failures and success. And as the coach, Gwen must be able to ask direct questions and get honest answers in order to be effective. You can be rest assured that Gwen is sincerely on your side and is committed to you and others who work with you or for you in being happy, successful and establishing powerful relationships.
